On Tuesday October 26, the Mighty Pirate Marching Band, Twirlers and Brigadettes competed in the UIL 4A State Military Marching Band Contest held at Pine Tree High School in Longview.
In the preliminary round, the band competed against 11 schools to earn a spot in the top five to advance to the state finals later that evening.
