Misty Songe was sworn in as Vidor’s new mayor in a special called meeting Monday night by City of Vidor Municipal Court Judge Michael Abbott. Songe was elected mayor after winning 63 percent of ballots cast in the June 12 mayoral runoff election. She formerly served as Ward 3 representative on the Vidor City Council.
