The Vidor Lady Pirates placed first in the HJ Powerlifting meet held Thursday at Sour Lake. Six girls also placed first in their class. Girls individual results and team results are below.

The Vidor Boys Powerlifting team placed third at the Hardin Jefferson Powerlifting meet held Thursday at Sour Lake. Two Pirates took first in their weight class and the team finished in third place.

Pirate Escapades Tickets On Sale

Tickets for the 55th Annual Pirate Escapades will go on sale Monday, February 21st at 7:30 AM in the VHS Band Hall. Tickets will be sold Monday - Friday from 7:30 AM till 1:00 PM. All tickets are reserved seating. Advance tickets are $10.

Realignment adds Jasper, drops Orangefield from district

The eagerly awaited bi-annual UIL district re-alignment was announced last week and for Vidor football fans, there were no changes to District 10-4A Division 1. Other sports, competing in District 19 4A, saw Orangefield drop and Jasper added.

Lady Pirates wrap up basketball season

The varsity Lady Pirates basketball team wrapped up the 2021 season at home Friday versus LCM. After a spirited battle, varsity lost 53 – 33. Lading the lady Pirates were Raegan Stephenson with 13 points and 9 rebounds.

Pirate soccer tangles with LCM and BC

The Pirate and Lady Pirate soccer teams played the LCM Bears Tuesday and Bridge City Friday with mixed results. Vidor varsity boys played LCM to a 1-1 tie on Tuesday. Varsity girls were defeated 9-1 by LCM with Vidor score coming via Amelia Wright assisted by Jordan Reynolds.

Pirates fall to LCM 71-47 on the road

The varsity Vidor Pirate hoopsters travelled to LCM Friday to take on the Bears in a district matchup that resulted in a 71-47 loss for the Pirates. Leading the Pirates was Bryce Loftin with 21 points and 2 rebounds .
