The Vidor Pirates basketball season ended Monday in New Caney with a 62-53 loss to the Hudson Hornets. The first round loss was a disappointment but the game marked just the fourth playoff appearance in school history. The Pirates were 23-11 on the season, 8-4 in district play.

The Vidor Pirate boys basketball varsity team will meet the Lufkin Hudson Hornets in a bi-district match yet to be set as they advance to the playoffs this year according to Head Coach Joseph Hoyt.The Pirates still have a regular season game versus Lumberton Friday and Silsbee next Tuesday.
