Lady Pirates top WOS 20-9 for district win

The Vidor Lady Pirates beat the Lady Mustangs 20-9 on the road Tuesday to improve their district record to 1-2. The high scoring affair was closer than the score appears with Vidor leading 4-1 after one inning and 6-3 after two.

Pirates lose early lead to LCM in Friday home game!

The Vidor Pirates jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the first inning, but that’s all they could muster, falling to the visiting Little Cypress Bears 4-1 Friday. Austin Cadroy was hit by a pitch and then stole second base when Diagan Venable singled to left field and Cadroy scored the Pirates’ lone run.

Pirates blank WOS 19-0 for first district win!

The Vidor Pirates travelled to Orange Tuesday looking to break into the win column in district play and they did in a big way with a 19-0 shellacking of the Mustangs. The Pirates scored three runs in the first inning when Bryce Munoz singled and drove in two RBI’s.

The Lady Pirates had a great showing at the LCM Battlin’ Bears Relays on March 25, 2022. The Lady Pirates had numerous athletes place in their events and earn points for the team. In the discus event, Rylee Sherman placed first with a throw of 98’7”.

The Vidor Lady Pirate varsity soccer team defeated the Huffman Hargrave Lady Falcons 1-0 Thursday at Kyle White Stadium in Anahuac to advance to the Area Round Tuesday, March 29. The win was number 175 for Head Girls Soccer Coach Ralph Fields.

Pirates off to an 0-2 start in district play

District play got underway Tuesday for Pirate baseball in Bridge City. After a tentative start, the Cardinals got on the scoreboard in the third inning with three runs. The Pirates answered with two of their own in the fourth to make the score 3-2.

Lady Pirates begin district play

The Vidor Lady Pirates opened district play In Bridge City Tuesday versus the Lady Cardinals and came away with a 4-0 loss. Vidor’s bats were quiet as the team went hitless for seven innings, scoring no runs and committing two errors. Bridge City scored four runs on 6 hits and committed no errors.

Orangefield topped Vidor 10-5 Tuesday in a error filled game that saw 13 errors committed between them. Vidor’s errors came early and Orangfield’s came late, but the big difference was batting that saw O’field collect 10 runs on 11 hits while committing 7 errors.
