The Vidor Lady Pirate volleyball camp is underway with new Head Girls Volleyball Coach Brooklyn Sampere. Sampere, a former assistant, moves into the Head Coach position after former Head Coach Melissa Story resigned to take a position at East Chambers Junior High.

Friday’s Cops N Kids Picnic at Claiborne West Park entertained thousands of local children and gave them an opportunity to see and interact with first responders and law enforcement in a fun environment. Orange County Sheriff Jimmy Lane Mooney said he was very pleased with the turnout.

Vidor Pirate football season tickets will go on sale July 5, says VISD Athletic Secretary Lori Mathews. “I will be returning to work on Tuesday July 5. Season ticket holders have from Tuesday July 5th – Thursday July 14th to put tickets on hold or purchase them before they go on sale to the public.

District softball coaches have named their selections to the 2022 All-District team with Andreya Garrett named to the first team infield. Named to the second team All-District were Brooklyn Bushelle (1B) at infield and Natalie Morrison (LF) in the outfield.
