Commercial Gulf Shrimp Season opens Friday, July 15

The Gulf of Mexico commercial shrimp season for both state and federal waters will reopen 30 minutes after sunset on Friday, July 15, 2022. Biologists evaluate the biological, social and economic impact when deciding the opening date to maximize the benefits to the industry and the public.

Pirate football tickets on sale now

Vidor Pirate football season tickets went on sale July 5, says VISD Athletic Secretary Lori Mathews. Season ticket holders have from Tuesday July 5th – Thursday July 14th to put tickets on hold or purchase them before they go on sale to the public.
