Lady Pirate high jumper Raegan Stephenson officially committed to Texas State in San Marcos last week. As a Freshman, Stephenson won a silver medal in the 4A girls high jump at the state meet and last year, she won the gold medal with a jump of 5 feet, seven inches. Stephenson is pictured with her coaches Darin Fletcher and Tracy Maines.

Lady Pirates defeat Orangefield 11-4 Tuesday

The Vidor Lady Pirates defeated Orangefield 11-4 at Orangefield Monday. Vidor scored 11 runs on 18 hits and committed two errors while Orangefield scored 4 runs on 8 hits with one error.

Lady Pirates go 4-2 at Goose Creek Tournament

The Lady Pirates went 4-2 at the Goose Creek Softball Tournament held over the weekend, opening with a 7-1 win over Baytown Lee and 3-0 win over Baytown Sterling. Eryn Barraza hit a 3-run homer in the Lee game and Tylen Cassel hit a solo homer versus Sterling.

Lady Pirates win at Hardin-Jefferson Powerlifting Meet, Boys take 2nd

Vidor High School Powerlifting teams placed first and second at the HH Powerlifting meet held Thursday. The Lady Pirates placed 1st with 59 points followed by Nederland with 48, HJ with 43 and Lumberton with 20 points. Thursday, the team will be competing at Nederland.

Lady Pirates maintain 2nd spot in district

With a single loss to Lumberton, the Vidor Lady Pirates are maintaining their second place spot in district with wins Friday and Tuesday. Friday vs HJ, Chloe Post scored both goals as they won 2-0 at home. Playing Jasper Tuesday in an away game, the Lady Pirates won 5-0.

Lady Pirate softball defeat H-F 8-7

The Vidor Lady Pirate softball team hosted Hamshire Fannett Tuesday and although it was a close game Vidor came away with an 8-7 win. Natalie Morrison was the winning pitcher giving up five hits over 6 innings. HF scored 7 runs on 6 hits and committed 7 errors.

Pirates defeat Jasper 4-0 at home

The Vidor Pirate varsity soccer team hosted the Jasper Bulldogs Tuesday and after a scoreless first half, the Pirates erupted for 4 goals in the second to claim a 4-0 win. Mario Algora Roy scored three goals for the Pirates with Andre Ribeiro scoring the fourth.
