Lady Pirates defeat HJ in away game Tuesday

The Vidor Lady Pirate varsity volleyball team defeated the Hardin Jefferson Lady Hawks Tuesday evening in an away game 3-2.The varsity will participate in the Tarkington Tournament Thursday-Saturday with a Freshman/Junior Varsity home bout versus Buna beginning at 4:30 Friday.
The Mighty Pirate Tennis Team opened district play Monday night and pulled off their first win in their District opener against the Bridge City Cardinals, noted VHS Tennis Coach Ericka Richard. The final score was 17-2. “It was a great night for sure! Your Pirates will travel to Little Cypress Mauriceville on Monday, August 26 for their next District match starting at 4 p.m.”

The Vidor Lady Pirate volleyball team won second place in the Silver Bracket at the Dayton Invitational Volleyball Tournament held in Dayton last week. Vidor’s Madison Perkins (Perki) also won All-Tournament recognition.
