Wayne Evert Wesley McGriff, 86, of Vidor passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, October 18th, 2022 at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas. He was a longtime resident of Vidor since 1972 and was previously in Bridgeview, IL. He was a devout Christian and member of The Church of God in Vidor. He was an usher at the church, loved playing drums with the church band, working on cars, going to car shows especially ones with antique cars, collecting craftsman tools, welding, building markers with the Church of Prophecy Marker Association, and most importantly loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Zola McGriff of Vidor, TX, children: Wayne McGriff Jr. of Beaumont, TX, Ken McGriff of Pegram, TN, Regina Hayes of Nederland, TX, and Mark McGriff of Pegram, TN, brother Melvin McGriff of Cleveland, TN, 3 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
