Rodger “Danny” Daniel Hargraves, age 91, of Gatesville, Texas, passed away at his residence on Monday, January 6, 2025. A longtime resident of Rose City, Texas, Danny relocated to Gatesville three years ago but always held fond memories of his roots in Winnie, Texas, where he was born and raised. Danny proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Danny is survived by his children: Daniel Ray Hargraves of Connecticut, Brenda Ray of Gatesville, Texas, Rodger Hargraves Jr. of Pennsylvania, Jeffery Hargraves of Cransfills Gap, Texas, and Tracy Dowdle of Gatesville, Texas. He is also survived by his stepchildren, Laura Butts French of Conroe, Texas, and Chris Butts and wife Stacey of Vidor, Texas, as well as his sister, Opal Faye Hargraves Broussard of Louisiana. Additionally, Danny leaves behind 21 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren who will cherish his memory.
