Oscar Glenn Snider Sr., 67, of Mauriceville, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 15th, 2024, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. Born in Beaumont, Oscar spent much of his life in Vidor, where he was a beloved member of the community. Oscar’s love for music was another cherished aspect of his life. He had a talent for playing the piano and loved to sing, filling many hearts with joy through his music. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Carolyn Snider of Mauriceville, TX; his children, Oscar Snider Jr. of Silsbee, TX, Rachel Snider of Beaumont, TX, and Shanna Thompson of Vidor, TX; his brother, Elson Snider of Vidor, TX; and his sisters, Belinda Snider of Nederland, TX, and Aletha Doucet of Bowie, TX. Oscar was also blessed with 9 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, who will carry on his legacy of faith, love, and devotion.
