It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Michael Leon Runnels Sr., a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Michael, 61, of Mauriceville, peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, December 26th, 2023, at Harbor Hospice House in Beaumont. Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 43 years, Judy Runnels of Mauriceville, TX, a constant source of love and support throughout their journey together. He is also survived by his loving children: Latisha Runnels Gonzales of Vidor, TX; Mandy Runnels of Beaumont, TX; and Michael Runnels Jr. of Mauriceville, TX. Their shared memories and the love he bestowed upon them will forever endure. In addition, Michael is remembered by his brother, John Wayne Runnels of Magnolia, TX, with whom he shared a lifetime of memories and experiences. The legacy of Michael’s love extends to 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, each one a testament to the joy and warmth he brought into their lives.
