James “Mike” Michael Wilkerson Sr., passed away on Sunday, December 24th, 2023, at the age of 78. Born and raised in Vidor, Mike was a true son of the community. For 40 years, Mike shared his life’s journey with his loving wife, Linda Wilkerson. Mike is survived by his children, James “Mike” Michael Wilkerson Jr. of Clinton, MS, as well as stepchildren Debra Heintz of Pflugerville, TX, and Daryl Gans of Round Rock, TX. Their lives are a reflection of the values and strength instilled in them by their father.
In addition to his immediate family, Mike is survived by his brother, Harvey Lee Wilkerson of Vidor, TX. Mike’s legacy continues through his 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, who brought immeasurable joy to his life. He took pride in their accomplishments and found joy in the laughter and love they shared.
