Imogene Busby Ernst, was born on July 19, 1937, in Call Junction, Texas, to Malissia Moore Busby and Samuel Walker Busby Jr. She peacefully entered eternal rest on April 26, 2025, surrounded by family.
Imogene grew up in a large, faith-filled family alongside her siblings. She was one of 15 children.
She married Elmer Lee Ernst Sr. on May 31, 1954. Together, they built a life grounded in service to the Lord, family, and others. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior on January 1, 1959, a decision that shaped her life and touched everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Elmer Lee Ernst Sr., her son Ricky Allen Ernst (Anne), her granddaughter Brendi Rae Richardson (Drake), and many beloved siblings and family members.
She is survived by her children: Elmer Lee Ernst Jr. (Selita), Timothy Dean Ernst (Melissa), and Randy Gene Ernst (Patty); her 11 grandchildren and her twenty-two great-grandchildren.
