Elbert “Wayne” Bilbo, born on December 15, 1945, in Beaumont, Texas, passed away on October 10, 2024, in Schertz, Texas. A graduate of Vidor High School, class of 1964, Wayne led a life marked by dedication, service, and an enduring passion for antiques. Wayne proudly served his country as an Air Traffic Controller in the United States Air Force for 11 years. His time in the military was filled with many fond memories, and he cherished the camaraderie and experiences shared with his fellow servicemen. Beyond his military service, Wayne had a deep passion for antiquing. He enjoyed the hunt for unique treasures, finding and selling items that had stories of their own. This hobby brought him joy and allowed him to share a piece of history with others, reflecting his appreciation for the past. He is survived by his daughter, Effie Tauber, and his granddaughter, Alexandra Tauber, as well as his sister Carolyn Turner.
