CARL DAVID CALDWELL NOVEMBER 14, 1951 — MAY 3, 2025
Carl David Caldwell, 73, of Vidor, passed away on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas in Beaumont. A lifelong resident of Vidor, Carl was a proud U.S. Navy veteran who served his country during the Vietnam Conflict. He later dedicated 46 and a half years to his career at Westrock Papermill in Evadale before retiring. Carl found peace and purpose in the outdoors— whether it was boating, ranching, or firing up his tractor for just about any excuse. Carl is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Teri Caldwell of Buna, TX; his children: Robert Dishner, Paul Caldwell, and Carl James Caldwell, all of Vidor, TX, and Amanda Rinehart of Dallas, TX; his sister, Jamie Ritchey of Houston, TX; and his brother, Peter Caldwell of Teague, TX. He also leaves behind his 4 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
