Cathryn “Cathy” Marie Ward, 74, of Vidor, passed away peacefully at her residence on Tuesday, February 18th, 2025. Born and raised in Beaumont, TX, she later became a longtime resident of Vidor. She had a heart for taking care of others, and that care extended beyond her work—her home was always open, and everyone knew they could find warmth, laughter, and a good meal at Cathy’s house. Family was her greatest joy, and nothing made her happier than being surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Michael Ward of Vidor, TX; her children, William “Billy” Ward of Groves, TX, and Timothy Ross Ward of Orange, TX, and her 3 beloved grandchildren. Cathy is also survived by her mother, Mary Louise Stinebrickner; her siblings, Andy Stinebrickner of OK, Debbie Andrews of Roanoke, LA, Clem Stinebrickner of Beaumont, TX, and Stacy Traylor of Cypress, TX.
