Rebecca Joan Walker, 74, of Vidor, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 20th, 2025, at Oakwood Manor Nursing Home in Vidor. A longtime resident of Vidor, Joan was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She dedicated her career to serving the community as a lifetime employee at Luby’s restaurant in Beaumont, where her warm personality and cheerful spirit made her a favorite among patrons and coworkers alike. After her retirement, Joan embraced her love for music and dancing, often spending time enjoying life’s simple pleasures. She also had a passion for playing bingo and solving word puzzles, which kept her sharp and brought her joy. Joan leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion, survived by her children: Troy S. Copeland, Mendy Elaine Jackson, Max Copeland and wife Jennifer, and Carrie Hope Berg and husband Jeff Lyle Berg; her brother, David Ronald Ray; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
