Gus Leon Cutrer, affectionately known as “Goose,” passed away on September 28, 2024 in his home in Vidor, Texas. Born on December 1, 1944, in Port Arthur, Texas, Gus led a life marked by dedication, warmth, and a zest for life that touched all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Cutrer, his brother John Dean Cutrer, and his stepchildren Nathan Grayson, along with Josh Grayson. Furthermore, Gus took great pride in being a cherished figure in the lives of multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he leaves behind numerous other family members who will miss him dearly. Although Gus preferred there to be no formal memorial service, opting for cremation and having his ashes spread over his mother’s grave, his friends have organized a Celebration of Life event honoring Gus that will be held on October 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Fraternal Order of the Eagles located at 2313 Nederland Ave, Port Neches, Texas 77651
