Bennie Jo Brown, born to Dr. Horace and Alta Franklin on July 15, 1939 in Thorsby, Alabama, peacefully passed away at her home in Vidor, Texas on the evening of August 1, 2024, at the age of 85.
Bennie was a kind, loving, and caring person who treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. They remember her as a superb gardener, dedicated animal lover, and wonderful “MawMaw” to her grandchildren. Her personality and character brought joy to all around her.
Bennie is survived by her daughter, Mishelle, eight grandchildren, along with six great-grandchildren.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to Christina Royce, Bennie’s gift from God, for her genuine love, kindness, and care shown to Bennie over past 5 years. The family also wishes to thank Jamie, Isabel and Misty for their kindness and care.
