WILLIAM “BILL” RODNEY SMITH, JR.

William “Bill” Rodney Smith, Jr., 70, of Vidor, died Thursday, July 4, 2024, at his residence, surrounded by family and friends. A native of Huntsville, TX, Bill was raised in Bevil Oaks, attending Beaumont High School before becoming a proud member of the U.S. Marine Corps. For the past 32 years, he made Vidor his home. Bill was a member of Turning Point Church, Pine Forest Masonic Lodge #1420, where he served as past Worshipful Master, and El Mina Shrine. Bill is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carol Smith of Vidor, TX; his daughters, Brandy Smith Antill of Beaumont; and Sharon Jones of Austin, TX; his brother, Joe Lawrence Smith of Silsbee, TX; his 2 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter. He also leaves behind beloved nieces and nephews.
