Carol Ann Gates, 73, passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at Christus Dubuis Hospital of Beaumont. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, she was a devoted resident of Vidor throughout her life. Carol was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Vidor, where she found great joy in participating in bible study with her church group. Carol served as the executive secretary of nursing at Beaumont Medical and Surgical Hospital. She also held the position of Executive Secretary for the warden at Larry Gist Unit. Carol loved spending time outdoors doing yard work and caring for her garden. She was an avid animal lover. Carol is survived by her loving children Kerri Clark of Montgomery, TX, Brandi Gates Humberson of Vidor, TX, and William Neal Gates of Vidor, TX, 6 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
