CD Woodard, a longtime resident of Vidor, passed away on Tuesday, May 2nd, 2023, at Memorial Herman Hospital in Houston at the age of 92. He was born on August 1, 1930, in Houston, TX.
CD was an active member of the Saint Stephens Episcopal Church in Beaumont. He loved restoring old cars, playing music, and working on his tractors. CD enjoyed spending time outdoors and cherished the moments he spent with his family. He was also a poet, and his love for writing was evident in his works.
CD is survived by his wife of 74 years, Alice Woodard of Vidor, TX, and his children: Coll Dudley Woodard of Vidor, TX, Kirby Ray and wife Jennie Woodard of Huffman, TX, Larry Randall Woodard of Vidor, TX, Richard Glenn and wife Jodi Woodard of Crystal Beach, TX, and Terry Wayne and wife Lora Woodard of Vidor, TX. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son Michael Allen Woodard, siblings Ray Eugene Woodard and Evelyn Doris McDaniels, and granddaughter Brittany Nicole Harvey.
CD Woodard will be remembered for his kind heart, his love for his family, and his passion for music and writing. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. May he rest in peace.
