Earl Wade Borel, 95, of Vidor, passed away on Monday, May 8th, 2023, at his home.
Earl was a member of Community Church in Orange since 1982. He served in the US Navy and was assigned to the USS Klondike. After leaving the service, Earl worked for Bluebonnet Mattress Company in Port Arthur until 1952 when he went to work for Gulf Oil as a boilermaker until his retirement in 1986. Upon retirement, Earl and Velma traveled extensively with the Vidor Pirates Travel Group.
Earl's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor with interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Orange.
Earl is survived by his children, Pamela Dixon of Brookeland, TX, Danny Earl Borel of Mauriceville, TX., Troy Edward Borel of Vidor, TX, 7 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
