Toya Annette Swearingen, 69, of Vidor, died Tuesday, January 10th, 2023, at her home. She was born and raised in Port Arthur but is a longtime resident of Vidor. She served her country with the U.S. Army as a nurse during Vietnam and was also received her sharpshooter award. She loved watching her grandkids play sports and getting to spend time with them, reading, fishing, listening to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers, and loved watching The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and old westerns. The family will have a service for her set for a later date. She is survived by her grandchildren: Austin Werth of Vidor, TX, Erin Hebert of Vidor, TX, Troy Hebert of Vidor, TX, Blake Hebert of Mauriceville, TX, and Aden Hebert of Vidor, TX, and 8 great grandchildren.
