Charles R. Wilkinson Sr., 83 of Vidor died Saturday, August 8th, 2020 at UTMB Hospital in Galveston, TX. A native of Memphis, TN, he was a longtime resident of Vidor. Charles was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church and was a retired Electronic Tech for North Star Steel in Vidor. He was an avid H.A.M. Radio Operator and his call letters were KB5FE. Charles loved to golf and he served his country in the US Army. Visitation began 6:00 pm Monday, August 10, 2020 at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor. Graveside services were held 10:00 am Tuesday, August 11, 2020 at Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor. He is survived by his wife of 62 years Charlene Wilkinson of Vidor, TX, children Charles Richard Wilkinson Jr. of Lumberton, TX, Wesley Coleman Wilkinson Sr. of Vidor, TX, Margaret Ann Hackney of Shelbyville, TX, Mary-Frances Lisa Jagoe of Orangefield, TX, brother Robert Lashlee of Collierville, TN, 18 grandchildren, and 41 great grandchildren.
