2019 Vidor Graduate Baylie Bradley received her World Series ring this week. Baylie was a member of the 2023 Texas Rangers Six Shooters Professional Dance Team. Baylie now lives in North Richland Hills Texas and works as an Emergency Room RN.

DPS Announces SafeDRIVE Enforcement

AUSTIN – The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) Texas Highway Patrol (THP) is increasing enforcement efforts – along with fellow law enforcement partners in bordering states – as part of the Distracted Reckless Impaired Visibility Enforcement or SafeDRIVE initiative.

State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled Nearly $4 Billion in July

( AUSTIN) —Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.99 billion in July, 0.1 percent more than in July 2023. The majority of July sales tax revenue is based on sales made in June and remitted to the agency in July.

Texas Sales Tax Holiday is Aug. 9-11, Marks 25th Year

(AUSTIN) — Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar is reminding shoppers they can save money on clothes and school supplies during the state’s sales tax holiday on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-11. This will be the 25th year of Texas’ oldest sales tax holiday.
