The Orange County Emergency Services District #1 responded to the following calls from Monday, December 6, 2021, through Sunday, December 12, 2021. ‘MVC’ indicates a ‘Motor Vehicle Collision.’ ‘UTL’ means firefighters were ‘Unable To Locate’ the call.

10 Most Wanted Fugitives from Marble Falls, Pearsall, Mt. Pleasant Captured

Three of Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Fugitives are back in custody following their arrests. Marshall Willard Brown was arrested Dec. 1 in Austin. Richard Anthony Banda was arrested Dec. 2 in Dilley. Christopher Wayne Davis II was arrested Dec. 6 in Longview. No rewards will be paid in their arrests.

State Sales Tax Revenue Totaled $3.6 Billion in November

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar today said state sales tax revenue totaled $3.56 billion in November, 19.4 percent more than in November 2020. The majority of November sales tax revenue is based on sales made in October and remitted to the agency in November.

State Highway and Rainy Day Funds gets $2.9 billion in funding

Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced today he has completed the transfer of more than $2.91 billion into the State Highway Fund (SHF) and the Economic Stabilization Fund (ESF; commonly known as the “Rainy Day Fund”). Each fund received nearly $1.46 billion, or 50 percent of the total transfer.
