Rose City chase yields 10 grand and weed in Chambers County

Christmas Day, led to a car chase and an eventual drug bust. The Rose City Marshal’s Office stopped a black GMC pickup truck because the vehicle had an obstructed paper E-tag and was believed to have evaded a deputy with Rose City the previous night.

Vidorians to get look at new Ward boundaries next week

Residents and Vidor City Council will get their first look at proposed new Ward boundaries in a special called meeting beginning at 7 p.m. January 4 at Vidor City Hall. A follow up meeting set for January 13 is reserved for public comment on the new Ward boundaries.

Babin Votes No on Bill to Raise Debt Ceiling

U.S. Congressman Brian Babin (TX-36) issued the following statement after voting no on S.J. Res. 33, a bill to raise the debt ceiling by $2.5 trillion. “During my six-year tenure in Congress, our national debt has risen by an unacceptable $11 trillion,” said Babin.
