City awards more than $80,000 in HOT tax funds

It was Christmas in September for this year’s HOT tax applicants as almost everyone got what they asked for. /with requests ranging from $5,000 to $10,000 Vidor City Council awarded $81,000 of the $90,000 requested by 10 groups to promote tourism and overnight stays in the city.

Pirate’s costly mistakes continue as Exporters win 34-12

The Vidor Pirates traveled to Freeport Thursday for a non-district match with the Brazosport Exporters with a sizable group of Vidorian’s making the 2 hour trip to support them. Unfortunately, the Pirates also brought unwanted baggage from earlier games, turnovers and penalties along too.
