Next door to Oak Forest Elementary on Highway 12, work on the Vidor Middle School site has visibly accelerated over the past few weeks as work is now above ground. Motorists frequently travelling Highway 12 have seen the progress being made rebuilding Oak Forest Elementary School and Vidor Middle School since the original buildings were demolishing due to flood damage sustained during Hurricane Harvey in late August 2017.
