CTE Automotive Advisory Board Meeting

The CTE Advisory Board met Tuesday with CTE Director Penny Singleton and Automotive Teacher Al Waits. This meeting was to create a partnership with area Ford car dealerships. VHS CTE will partner with the dealerships for job shadow experiences and school guest speaking events.
The last Vidor Public Library Summer Reading program 2023 event was presented on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, by Ranger Scott Sharaga and his intern Lorna Puhl. Ranger Scott and intern Lorna are from the Big Thicket National Preserves Texas, and they talked about all the events and things that the Big Thicket has to offer the community and surrounding areas. The Seniors in the Advanced Building Trades class at Vidor High School have completed their training on minimum residential building code steps. This team made up of Brayden White, Brayden Price, and Brennan Smith created these country-modern steps.
